Jeans by Trussardi 1911

I love the look of these jeans. At first glance, I thought a project like this could be a tall order. I've never done any serious sewing to the point where I needed a pattern. Lately, I've been having alot of fun using a less dramatic version of Kat Von D's t-shirt lacing techniques to alter the shape of a top. But after closer inspection, I bet I could take apart a few pairs of jeans (that are all the same size) and just fill in the gaps. I'll see to it someday....

I'm really in love with the desing of this Trussardi 1911 dress as well.

The Butler Did it...

It seems that in this current century everyone has wanted their jeans to look like they've been worn to death. The factory approach to tattered design can often result in an extremely fake look. Tell-tale sings are symetrical abrasions and tears (excluding knee holes), too dark denim with rips and holes strategically placed to display, erm, mating tools. A.P.C. customers will be happy to know that the company has found a way for you to purchase jeans who's lives have been depleted by actual humans. The name, Butler Worn Out Series, indicates that you don't have to do the dirty work. The company is encouraging customers to bring their old jeans to an A.P.C. store. By doing so you can purchase brand new jeans half price. This allows someone else to buy your lived in jeans for themselves.This does sound interesting. It eliminates the cost of breaking down denim in a factory, and is a greener approach to shopping in consumerism terms, but I'll stick with paying $2 for old jeans in thrift stores. What do you guys think?
