Though Charlotte insists that her sister Lou is the fashion icon of the family, she has gained attention for her simplicity. All she needs is a t-shirt, jeans and a biker jacket to adorn her lithe frame (thanks to genes from Jane Birkin). Effortless yet chic.As for her acting, I've only seen her in I'm Not There. She was fantastic opposite Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) who was amazing as well. The beginning of their relationship was adorable and appropriately set to "I Want You" by Dylan of course. I believed every word that each of them said.

when i wear really basic things i like to think it's because i'm being like charlotte gainsbourg and not being lazy.
She is gorgeous, I love the mixture of femininity and masculinity. She is not a traditional beauty, I think, yet she stands out with a kind of understated grace.
