You Don't Have to Wear a Flower in Your Hair...

Intrigued by tie dye but don't dig dancing bears? Kill City won't soften your edge. In a palette of purple, black and grey these threads are more Patti Smith than Penny Lane. The pink designs could even be rocked out (and that's nowhere near my favorite colour.) The versatility of the patterns also sets these clothes apart. There are vertical stripes and decaying cross hatches as well as the usual sunburst pattern. Some of my favorites are the skeletal pattern that looks like a rib cage and the swirl that brings to mind natural patterns in rocks. Despite my clothing ban the one with the dream catcher-like pattern is en route to me as I type.

But Kill City's talents don't end there. The whole collection is pretty rock. I'm particularly intrigued by the acid wash "Voodoo" jeans (and mind you, I've had a hostility against acid wash for quite some time.) The modern cut won't make you look like one of my mom's college room mates. Wearing them with all black clothing would feel way more Bauhaus than Wham! Or pair them with a tie dye shirt for interest.

yea, that last piece is brilliant. i have a tie dyed tank in my closet that's pretty rock n roll, but i always seem to pass it over. i need to try harder to incorporate it into my wardrobe.
