Icon: Hole
I bought a Hole tape at a thrift shop. I did like some of the songs when I was an angry pre-teen and I figured that 50 cents was a fair price to pay for a test run. I put it on last night and I really got into the scuzzy, burnout sound. As I listened images of bored, burnt-out youth came to mind. I saw them in they're slept-in t-shirts, jeans they've been wearing for weeks, smoking they're cigarettes in a gutter and drowning in the sound emitting from a tape player. Just watching, waiting for something to happen. Today I rummaged through the internet and found some of the groups thrift store chic, street urchin looks that ironically came into my head last night. Courtney wore her dresses like a little girl lost, a representation of youth. I especially love the picture of her wearing a tiara and smoking a cigarette.

I loved her old look, and "Live Through This" is still a perfect album. But now I have "Teenage Whore" stuck in my head....not so nice.
I've never listened to Hole because I hate Nirvana. Is that rational, or should I give them a go?
not really a fan but they have a cool look
Hmmm...I love Nirvana AND Hole, so I don't know what kind of suggestion to give to Robin :-)
