Month of the Blues

August is denim month in Nylon magazine so my blue mood increases when the latest denim issue is in my possesion. Below are some of my favorite distressed and patched looks by Undercover and some of my favorite blues images.

My first pair were given to me by my grandmother on Christmas in second grade. They were flares with blue flowers stitched on the hem. I put then on immidiatly and never looked back. I was obsessed with Jackie O. as a child and violently refused to wear any form of trousers but now I was smitten. In middle school I started thrift shopping and experimenting with distressing and drawing on jeans. I was a skater and I wore my jeans for atleast a week at a time so many of those pairs have since retired. My favorites from that era have been turned into cut-offs. I love jeans because they can be tough rock n' roll, tree hugger girl, Johnny Rotten's ex girlfriend or whatever fits my mood for the day. I love them and am considering letting myself buy one more pair (even though I said I'd abstain for some time).

I love this post and I agree on the great pictures!

I still havent got this months Nylon yet, I'll have to get it soon. I've missed the last couple of issues.

You're blog is great and it looks like we have the same interests. Im going to have to start reading it regularly.

If you like 60's mod fashion/culture be sure not to miss blow-up! My only copy is the one I taped from TCM, it seems hard to get outside the internet.
